1. Information We Collect

Money Book collects only the data necessary to provide accurate budgeting, bookkeeping, and cloud synchronization:

• Financial Records: Transaction titles, amounts, payment categories (e.g., Food, Transportation, Salary), timestamps, and optional user notes.
• Budget Targets: Category budget thresholds set by the user to monitor spending.
• User Preferences: Selected currency symbol (e.g., ₹, $, €), dark/light mode preference, and balance privacy toggle status.
• Google Account Data (Optional): When signing in with Google, we receive your name, verified email address, and profile avatar URL solely for account authentication and linking cloud backup records.

2. How Your Data Is Stored & Protected

• Local Device Storage: By default, transaction history and app settings are stored locally on your device using encrypted, sandboxed storage.
• Cloud Sync (Google Cloud Firestore): When signed in with Google, your transactions and budgets sync securely to Google Cloud Firestore under your unique User ID. Cloud data access is protected by hardened Firebase Security Rules enforcing strict single-user ownership (auth.uid == userId).
• Transit Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and Google servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS 1.3 / 256-Bit SSL protocols.

3. Data Sharing & Non-Disclosure

We respect your financial confidentiality. Under no circumstances do we:

• Sell, trade, or lease your personal or financial information.
• Share your spending habits with third-party advertisers, credit agencies, or data brokers.
• Inject advertising trackers or third-party analytic trackers into your accounting books.

4. Google Sign-In & Firebase Services

Money Book leverages Google Sign-In via Firebase Authentication to offer secure, passwordless authentication. This enables seamless cross-device synchronization between your Android app and the Money Book web platform (moneybooket.in).

Google Cloud infrastructure complies with major international security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3). These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Device Permissions

• INTERNET Access: Required strictly to sync your financial ledger with Google Cloud Firestore and authenticate via Google Sign-In.
• Zero Invasive Permissions: Money Book never requests access to your contacts, camera, microphone, GPS location, SMS, or phone files.

6. Data Retention & Complete Deletion

You maintain full control of your records at all times:

• Local Data: Clearing app data or clearing browser cache immediately erases all locally cached transactions.
• Cloud Data Deletion: You can request immediate, permanent deletion of your Firebase cloud records at any time through the in-app Settings menu or by sending an email request to our support desk.

7. Children's Privacy

Money Book is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

8. Policy Updates

Any revisions to this Privacy Policy will be published directly to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Money Book constitutes acceptance of the posted terms.
